This Privacy Policy explains how Tovia Team (“Tovia Team,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, shares, and protects information when you use the Tovia application and related services (collectively, the “Service”). This Service is intended for users aged 17 and older.
If you do not agree with this Privacy Policy, do not use the Service.
1) Who This Policy Applies To
The Service is intended for individuals aged 17+. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact us at mwhnemcbol7070@outlook.com so we can take appropriate action.
2) Information We Collect
We collect information in three ways: (a) information you provide, (b) information we collect automatically, and (c) information collected through cookies and similar technologies (where applicable).
2.1 Information You Provide
- Account information: name, username, email address.
- Customer support: the content of messages you send to us (including any attachments) and related contact details.
- Optional content you upload or create: photos of ticket stubs, dates, notes, and reviews you choose to add to your timeline or collections.
2.2 Information Collected Automatically
- Device information: device model, operating system version, language, app version, identifiers (as permitted by your device settings and applicable law).
- Usage data and analytics: interactions with features, screens viewed, approximate timestamps, and aggregated performance metrics.
- Crash logs and diagnostics: crash reports, error logs, and related technical data to help us fix issues and improve stability.
- Location information (with your permission): precise or approximate location data, depending on your device settings and the permissions you grant. You can control location sharing in your device settings at any time.
2.3 Cookies, Web Beacons, and Similar Technologies
If parts of the Service are provided via web-based components, we (and service providers acting on our behalf) may use cookies or similar technologies (including web beacons) to:
- keep you signed in,
- remember preferences,
- help prevent fraud and improve security,
- understand usage and improve performance.
You can usually manage cookies through your browser settings. Some features may not work properly if cookies are disabled.
3) Photo and Face Data (No Facial Recognition)
The Service may allow you to upload photos (e.g., ticket stubs). We do not perform facial recognition, and we do not create biometric templates or profiles. We do not use photos or related content for advertising or marketing profiling.
If the Service offers one-time processing to extract or generate information from your uploaded content (for example, to organize a timeline entry), we process the content only to provide the requested functionality and handle it as described in Section 4 (AI-Assisted Processing). Unless you choose to upload content, it remains stored locally on your device by default.
4) AI-Assisted Processing (If You Choose to Use It)
Certain features may involve automated processing to help organize, parse, or generate parts of your timeline (for example, reading text from a ticket stub photo or formatting your notes).
When you choose to upload images or text for processing:
- Processing occurs on servers controlled by Tovia Team (our own infrastructure).
- We do not share the uploaded images or text with any third-party for processing.
- We do not use your uploaded content to train advertising systems or for marketing profiling.
- We delete the uploaded content from our servers immediately after processing is completed (or as soon as reasonably necessary to complete the requested operation).
- You control whether to upload content and whether to generate results. You may choose not to use these features.
5) How We Use Information
We use information for the following purposes:
- Provide and maintain the Service: create and manage accounts, save your timeline entries, and deliver core functionality.
- Personalization: tailor your experience (e.g., preferences, organization, and summaries).
- Improvement and development: analyze usage, troubleshoot, fix bugs, and improve performance and features.
- Safety and security: protect against fraud, abuse, and unauthorized access.
- Customer support: respond to requests and provide help.
- Legal compliance: comply with applicable laws, regulations, lawful requests, and enforce our terms.
We do not sell your personal information.
7) Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect information, including:
- encryption in transit and at rest (where appropriate),
- access controls and least-privilege practices,
- regular security reviews/audits and monitoring,
- backups and disaster recovery measures.
No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security.
8) Data Retention
We retain information as follows (unless a longer retention period is required by law):
- Account data: retained while your account is active.
- Account deletion: when you request account deletion, we will delete or anonymize personal information within 30 days, subject to legal or security needs.
- Usage analytics and diagnostics: retained for up to 12 months.
- Customer support records: retained for up to 6 months.
9) Your Privacy Rights and Choices
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to:
- access your personal information,
- correct inaccurate information,
- delete your information,
- restrict or object to certain processing,
- withdraw consent (where processing is based on consent).
To exercise these rights, email us at mwhnemcbol7070@outlook.com. We will respond within 5 business days. We may need to verify your identity before fulfilling certain requests.
Location permissions: You can enable/disable location access at any time in your device settings.
10) Third-Party Links and Services
The Service may include links or integrations provided by third parties. This Privacy Policy does not cover third-party practices. Review the privacy policies of those third parties if you use their services.
11) Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will update the “Effective Date” above when changes are made. Your continued use of the Service after an update means you accept the updated policy to the extent permitted by law.
